Our hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility, holding a level III trauma center designation, and boasts a new state-of-the-art Emergency Department. Complementing the hospital are three rural health clinics, all committed to serving the needs of our close-knit rural community. Opportunities: As a Family Medicine Physician at Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta a Dignity Health Hospital, you will have the chance to work in:
Rural Health Clinics: Engage with patients in our rural health clinics, gaining exposure to a wide range of cases and building strong relationships within the community.
Hospitalist Program: The opportunity to participate in our hospitalist program, if desired, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients in a hospital setting.

As a Dignity Health Employed Physician you will receive the following based on a full time opportunity.
Annual guaranteed base salary starting a $255,000+ & additional bonus incentives
Recruitment Incentives: Sign on bonus $50,000, and Student loan Assistance
This opportunity qualifies for the PSLF loan waiver
Retention Bonus: $25,000 end of each year
After the initial two-year term retention bonus paid at the end of each year. (With the first payment made at the end of the contract’s third year.)

Productivity Incentive- on top of base salary per WRVU over 4800 annually
Physician’s productivity will be reported to them monthly and any incentive payment will be paid annually
Non-Cash Employment benefits. Full-time Physician – will receive all the standard benefits
Paid Time Off
Sick Leave (1 week annually can be converted to PTO- paid leave)=40 hours/1 week
40 hours paid CME time annually included in contract + up to $3,500 reimbursement for expenses
Up to 10 federal holidays, including the employee birthday
Health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, long term disability insurance (worker’s comp)
Tax-sheltered annuity contribution/match
Malpractice premiums are covered
Moving Expenses
Other reasonable expenses – licenses, medical staff fees; etc.
Dignity Health Travel & Expense policy applies and must be followed as Employed.
Term of Contract – 2 year agreement
