Chief Executive Officer of Carolinas Center for Surgery employed by the Wilmington Health MSO
Participates with the Board in the planning, the establishment, and the implementation of the clinic's mission and vision.
Participates with the Board in the development, revisions, and implementation of both short and long term strategic plans in support of the clinic's philosophy, goals, mission and vision. This will include creating an action plan for each upcoming year to address each major strategic initiative planned for the clinic.
Responsible to create an annual action plan to address above strategic planning.
Responsible for the continual and ongoing evaluation and management of the financial status of the clinic. This will require both short and long-term assessments as well as regular reports to the Board. Responsible to provide assistance to the Board to make appropriate changes in order to secure the financial solvency and success of the organization.
Will be expected to work with the CFO to present financial status reports to the Board.
Responsible to provide regular reporting to the board in order to update the Board on all strategic initiatives and yearly action plans.
Responsible to continually search for and evaluate new lines of revenue in the domain of clinical medicine on behalf of the clinic.
Remains current and informed in the legal and legislative domain of medical practice, and communicates relevant issues bearing on the clinic so that appropriate policy changes as well as strategic changes can be made.
Responsible for the supervision of all non-provider staff through the organizations reporting structure.
Works with physicians and medical staff to provide support to the physicians and ensures that the activity is consistent with strategic plan, mission and vision of the clinic.
Collaborates with Officers, Board members and physicians to continually improve clinic operations
(i.e.- patient flow, patient access, efficiencies in staffing, efficiencies in scheduling, resource needs, information systems, and optimization of revenue and expenses).
Responsible for maintaining ongoing program of orientation, evaluation and mentoring of all non-physician staff. Expected to keep lines of communication with staff open to ensure high employee morale and a professional healthful clinical environment.
Works with Chief Medical Officer for maintaining ongoing program of orientation, evaluation and mentoring of new physicians.
Works with the President regarding public relations programs and may act as potential spokesperson to the media.
Represents the clinic in its relationship with other health care organizations, government agencies, third party payors, and legal counsel.
Serves as a liaison and potential channel of communication between non physician staff and the Board.
Works with the Chief Medical Officer and the President to organize board meetings as well as physician meetings.
Expected to maintain professional affiliation and seek professional growth and development to keep current in latest trends in health care administration. Expectation of at least 25 CPE credit hours per year.
