Position Information: The Medical Assistant Team Leader supports the Clinical Supervisor to ensure consistency and competence in facilitating Medical Assistant new hire orientation, training, and job responsibilities. The Medical Assistant Team Leader will demonstrate knowledge of and provide training in Medical Assistant clinic work flows, standard processes, and provider directed patient care. Assists the Clinical Supervisor to ensure the clinical practice standards are consistent with WakeMed policies and procedures, standards of care, approved protocols, and standing orders. Seeks educational resources and learning experiences to achieve and maintain currency in the area of practice. Responsible for obtaining and retaining information from staff meetings, memos, newsletters, and other forms of communication. The Medical Assistant Team Leader will communicate effectively among clinical staff and physicians. Must be available for flexible scheduling, able to work in various office locations, able to attend meetings, and comfortable with change. Attends all mandatory in-service events. Meets all mandatory validations and regulatory requirements. Mandatory hospital and department requirements are satisfied prior to expiration. This includes BLS, Fire and Safety, Infection Control, Employee Health, Emergency Codes, TB, and Waived Testing. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices.
Experience Requirements: 2 Years Clinical - Ambulatory Care Required
Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Certified Medical Assistant Or Registered Medical Assistant Required
