The physician is organizationally and administratively responsible for the continuing management of functionally impaired patients and patients with pathological acute and chronic pain conditions in which the pain has affected their functional activities and quality of life. Responsible for providing the patient with risks, benefits and alternative treatments and securing the informed consent of the patient/family needed before conducting interventional procedures.
