The Center for Health and Sports Medicine was founded in 2010 with the vision to empower people by promoting a comprehensive and whole person approach to health using a blended practice of a wellness based primary care and comprehensive sports medicine. Using the practice of Exercise Is Medicine, we employ a team-based approach to prevent disease and promote an athletic lifestyle to all our patients, while also using a comprehensive sports medicine approach to evaluate and treat athletes throughout the span of their life. At our core, we believe this combined approach engages and empowers our patients towards a lifetime of health and wellness. We are a physician led practice with a fundamental belief that we can drive a positive change in health care through our focus on prevention, cost-effective care and creating an engaging relationship with our patients. We are looking for physicians who are board-certified in family and sports medicine or lifestyle medicine who would like to be a part of the growth of our vision. Our physicians typically see an average of 20 patients per day. We are also looking for individuals willing to work within the organizational processes we have developed to ensure an efficient and accurate care of our patients. We are also looking for physicians who look forward to engaging and developing members of our team to empower them to promote the vision of our practice. The Center for Health and Sports Medicine is a primary care/sports medicine practice in Jacksonville, Florida and are in the process of opening our second location in St. Augustine, Florida. We are a physician-led practice, focusing on evidence-based, whole-person care empowering people to live their best lives and perform at their highest level. Our Jacksonville facility is fully equipped to provide full-spectrum primary care and sports medicine, with in house x-ray, ultrasound, stress-testing, physical therapy, and many other services. We are unique in that we have an onsite wellness center, and offer a comprehensive wellness and athletic development program, The Ethos Project. This program provides a foundational focus in exercise, nutrition, stress management, sleep, mindfulness and strong social bonds. This program provides the tools and instructions for a life time collaboration of health and performance with out patients.
