When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealthâ™s mission in the communities we serve.
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to pediatric patients in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.
The value youâ™ll bring to the team:
Determines Physical Therapy Diagnosis and establishes plan of care, make recommendations for referral if treatment needed outside of scope of Physical Therapist practice.
Eligible to perform Direct Access Physical Therapy in OP setting, as indicated per state Physical Therapy practice act.
Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patientâ™s needs. Monitors patientâ™s response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate.
Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policies and procedures.

The expertise and experiences youâ™ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus five or more years of work experience in physical therapy, OR Masterâ™s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist, or Temporary State of Florida permit as Physical Therapist*
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred qualifications:
Previous experience or clinical rotations in a outpatient setting treating pediatric patients preferred
Ability to Float to locations in the Greater Orlando area
