M Health Fairview is looking for a Nurse Manager at St. Johns Hospital in Maplewood, MN in the Operating Room. This position is full time and is eligible for benefits.

About this Unit:
St. Johns OR has 8 Operating Rooms with supporting Preop and Postop department adjacent. A new Cardiac Cath lab and Hybrid room will soon be built adjacent to the OR. The volume of cases is from 20 to 30 per day. It is a Robotic Center of Excellence with General, Urology, GYN and Oncology being the largest Volume of Robotic cases. Other services include Open Heart, complex Neuro-spine, and well as simple spineboth ortho and neuro. It is also a Bariatric Center of Excellence. St. Johns OR has excellent surgeons performing other specialty cases in General, GYN, Plastics, Breast, the Kidney Stone Institute, ENT, Oral, Urology, Vascular, GI, Hernia, Thyroid, and traumatic Orthopedic. This position would have approximately 65 direct reports and report to the Director of Nursing/Surgical Services.
Responsibilities/Job Description
The Nurse Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, goals, and objectives of assigned area(s) and Fairview Health Services
Develops and/or provides input into budget for assigned area(s) according to established procedures.
Ensures that a process for collecting, monitoring and reporting quality data exists for assigned area.
Investigates and responds appropriately to all complaints and takes effective, corrective action when necessary.
Utilizes the nursing process in problem solving,
Serves as a role model for staff.
Manages change using a planned, orderly approach.
Demonstrates ability to implement problem-solving mechanisms in both routine and emergency situations.
Delegates appropriate tasks to staff.
Ensures implementation and development of standards of practice in patient care that reflect valid research findings.
Evaluates, develops and revises clinical systems to assure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field. If bachelors is not in nursing then must have a Master's degree in nursing.
3 years clinical nursing experience
1 year of nursing leadership experience
Minnesota RN license
Preferred Requirements:
Preferred Advanced Degree in nursing or related field
Other forms of supervisory or management experience
