The Exercise Physiologist will: utilize an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and recovery, prescribe and progress therapeutic exercise-based interventions for adult patients referred for Cardiac Rehabilitation, provide ongoing patient assessment to include ECG interpretation and measurements of physiological responses to therapeutic interventions, appropriately modify therapeutic interventions in accordance with physiological responses to ensure patient safety and best outcomes possible, provide appropriate diagnosis, therapeutic, and age-related patient and care provider education, and exercise independent judgment and decision-making within the limitations and scope of practice.
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Exercise Field required, Masters degree preferred.
Two years of direct cardiac and or pulmonary patient care experience in acute or rehabilitation setting preferred.
Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehabilitation Internship of 400 or more hours in length preferred.
Experience with computers to include use of all Microsoft Office Programs preferred.
License, Registrations, or Certifications:
Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification preferred (American College of Sports Medicine Registry).
BLS required at hire and ACLS required within 1 year of hire or transfer.
