The Certified Medical Assistant works under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager and direction of the RN Case Manager and/or LVN. Provides direct care for clinic patients with wounds, as well as general duties to assist professional staff. The CMA may prepare patients for care, assist patients with limited mobility, as well as perform specific procedures with appropriate orientation and supervision. The CMA follows all hospital policies and procedures and center clinical wound care guidelines; complies with hospital and nursing standards while performing job duties and responsibilities.
Minimum 1 year of prior experience in a nursing/medical office setting
Certified in limited phlebotomy
AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider
C.N.A or Medical Assistant certificate/diploma
Office skills such as word processing, database, and spreadsheet
High school diploma or equivalent
