Henderson Hospital
Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 120-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women's health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit is slated to open by late 2017.

Job Description

Responsible for providing a comprehensive evaluation of performance components affecting functional mobility and providing goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of independence.

Provides comprehensive evaluation of patients in the following:   
Neurological disease and dysfunction   
Orthopedic injury/disease       
Cardiac disease          
Critically ill and systemic disease           
Wound and skin integrity        
Pulmonary disease    
S/P Amputation and other vascular disease        
Provides goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of restoration in the following:
Neurological disease and dysfunction   
Orthopedic injury/disease       
Cardiac disease          
Critically ill and systemic disease           
Wound and skin integrity        
Pulmonary disease    
S/P Amputation and other vascular disease        
Performs responsibilities consistent with hospital safety policies.  
Knows and applies infection control policies and processes when handling and disposing of blood and body fluids.         
Provides direct patient care in areas of specialized expertise.         
Responsible for timely, efficient and accurate documentation (i.e.: progress notes, reports, and other pertinent documentation) and communication.      
Provides patient/family/caregiver education.     
Provides in-services/education to staff and community programs.
Assists Manager/Lead with department duties, as needed.             
Assists with supervision of PTA's and PTT's.
