Position Summary: The Lead Clinical Therapist position will provide clinical expertise in one or more specialized area(s) of therapy and have direct accountability to the medical staff and administration. The position will have responsibilities that may include coordination of daily operations, assisting with supervision of staff, performance improvement and program development/implementation, problem identification and solving. The Lead Therapist will also have patient care responsibilities that may include evaluation and treatment of individual clients to promote positive adaptations to a variety of deficits, specific to the discipline. The Lead Therapist collaborates with members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the patient/family and community liaisons to assure that therapy needs are addressed in order to improve outcomes and enhance patient satisfaction. Demonstration of flexibility and good communication skills are critical to optimal job performance.
Education | Licensure | Certifications: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology. Licensed or board eligible for licensure in the State of California. Current BLS (CPR) through the American Heart Association. Membership in ones corresponding state and national associations is strongly preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum 4+ years experience. Has demonstrated interest, aptitude, and skill in the areas of clinical coordination and operations, program development, education and evaluation of staff. Supervisory experience preferred.
